Bridgnorth & District u3a was formed in April 2007.
Our current membership is 400+ with over thirty Activity and Interest Groups meeting regularly.
Our area centres on the town of Bridgnorth and includes members from the surrounding villages and countryside.
Joining an Activity/Interest Group is a great opportunity to make new friends whilst taking up new challenges and learning something new.
New interest groups are formed by our members and all Group Leaders are supported by our Group Co-ordinator and other Committee Members.
Every month we have a Speaker Meeting. Non-members are welcome to come along to discover what u3a is all about.
And non-members and new members are particularly invited to the Meet and Greet in the Crown, Bridgnorth High Street, on the first Friday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.
Bridgnorth u3a is run by the Committee with the support of the group leaders and many volunteer helpers.
We have a twice yearly Newsletter and a monthly newssheet.
Members can join a private members' Facebook group as well as follow a public page to publicise our u3a
Costs for activities are always kept to the minimum (and some are actually free) only recouping expenses incurred, such as room hire, refreshments, tickets and transport.
