u3a is one of the largest membership organisations in the UK. Our members come together to learn for fun in retirement. Through u3a, members make friends and find community.
There are local u3as in over 1000 locations across the UK and around 400,000 members. There are also online groups.
Everything u3a does is member-led - this is learning with a difference - no teachers and students, no classes or exams!
u3a offers interest groups and activities - all just for fun! As a volunteer movement we all take it in turns to share our skills, knowledge and enthusiasm with each other!

Connect with others through the things you love!
The Third Age Trust is the national charity which supports the 1000+ u3as in the UK and promotes, supports and strengthens the u3a movement.
It was formed in 1983 and is governed by a Board of Trustees who work closely with the u3a Council of Members. The work of the Trust is carried out by a small staff and over 350 Trust Volunteers, most of whom are members of local u3as.
The UK is divided into 12 regional areas, each with its own council. Bridgnorth and District u3a is in the West Midlands Region - and within the West Midlands is part of the Shropshire Network.
